Besides being a champion of the unborn, Mildred was a great patriot. Every year, she came to the Feder family 4th of July party and took part in our public reading of The Declaration of Independence -- always with feeling.
I like to think of Mildred as our happy warrior -- often in her signature cowboy hat, always smiling.
