At 2:13pm, Friday afternoon, the US House voted to strike all federal funding for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
The congressional body voted 240-185 in favor of the amendment, introduced by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), to the 2011 Federal Spending Bill.
Nine Democrats voted pro-life. The official roll call has not yet been published (it is 2:37PM as I write this). If you try this link later < http://clerk.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.asp?year=2011&rollnumber=93 > the vote will be there. It is possible that Steve Lynch or Richie Neal voted to end the funding.
During the debate, the charges against Mike Pence and the other supporters were particularly vile - that they would be killing women, etc.
Besides all the horrible practices at PP that we have shared in these emails, the latest is a "counselor" suggesting to an STD infected man that he donate blood.
When your purpose is to kill babies for money the rest follows.
Of course, the continuing resolution goes to the Senate, Conference Committee, and the President, but what an historic start!
