Start Message:

The following message from Planned Parenthood Federation of America has been sent to you by Mother Jones.

They want to shut down every local Planned Parenthood health center in America.     Anti-choice House leadership is trying to completely eliminate funding for Title X, the nation's family planning program. Tell your representative to vote "NO" on any attempt to end Title X funding and cut off women from their only source of primary care.

URGENT MESSAGE FROM: Cecile Richards, President
Planned Parenthood Federation of America:

This week, anti-choice House leadership is forcing a vote on the most dangerous legislative assault on women's health in Planned Parenthood's 95-year history.

We need your help to protect Planned Parenthood and the women, men, and teens local Planned Parenthood health centers serve.Send an email right now urging your representative to vote NO.

Then make sure your message gets through by calling your representative's office (don't worry, we'll provide you with tips on what to say).

Title X, our nation's family planning program, provides funding for birth control, cancer screenings, HIV testing, and other lifesaving care. Anti-choice House leadership wants to completely eliminate this crucial funding particularly for Planned Parenthood. That would cut off millions of women from care they have no other way to afford, leaving them at increased risk of sickness and death. Click here to take action.

This attack on family planning funding is not an isolated incident. It's part of a coordinated campaign meant to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers and deny women access to basic health care.

We can't afford to let them get away with it. Speak out now make it clear to Congress that the services that doctors, nurses, and other medical staff provide in Planned Parenthood health centers are too important to be turned into just another political issue. If we don't stand together now, these attacks will surely continue, and women everywhere will pay a terrible price.

The new leadership in Congress campaigned on a promise to focus on jobs and the economy. Now that they're in power, they are instead focused on relentlessly attacking Planned Parenthood and the women, men, and teens who rely on us. They've shown where their priorities lie: destroying Planned Parenthood and eliminating access to reproductive health care even at the cost of denying women medical services that could save their lives.

Don't let them do it. Click here to tell your representative to vote "NO" on any attempt to cut off women from their only source of primary care.

Planned Parenthood is the nation's leading sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate period. Planned Parenthood gives millions of women the means to control their own reproductive health, from sex education to birth control. Ending Title X funding is the first step in a campaign to stop us from providing lifesaving care to women in need.

This is truly an emergency for Planned Parenthood and women's health. The House will vote on this bill this week your representative needs to hear from you now.

Thank you for standing with us and helping to protect Planned Parenthood and the women, men, and teens our health centers serve.
