That Was The Week That Was for Planned Parenthood.  The New York Times claims PP is under siege.   The week started with Abby Johnson speaking to 18,000 students at the March for Life, being featured on national TV, and excerpts from her book, Unplanned, appearing widely.  She tells of being forced to participate in an abortion and of Planned Parenthood requiring her clinic to do abortions - more and more of them.   Next came the "pimp and under-age illegal alien prostitutes" video put out by Lila Rose's Live Action, followed by more and more videos.  You will remember that Lila exposed Planned Parenthood's willingness to perform abortions on underage girls without telling their parents or reporting the obvious statutory rapes involved.   When Lila appeared at our MCFL Youth Conference last year, our young people couldn't help but wonder if the PP clinics in Massachusetts are any different from those in the rest of the country.   Then there is the proposal by Congressman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) to cut off Title X family planning money to Planned Parenthood .  The nation's largest abortion provider received $363.2 million in government grants and contracts during the year, 2008 - 2009 according to their latest report. Congressman Pence is not asking that Title X funding be reduced by a dime. He's making the commonsense point that our tax dollars shouldn't be going to PP whose affiliates performed more than 324,000 abortions in 2008--an increase of 6% over the year before. You can view the indefensible behavior on the part of employees at PPFA affiliates in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and Richmond, Virginia. Amazingly, most of your friends and neighbors who depend on the mainstream media know nothing about the outrages that go on at PP or about PP being the leading abortion provider in the country.  These latest videos give you and me the perfect opportunity to tell them about PP.  Let's do it!  Anne
