Testifying tomorrow: bring your lunch

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14, at 1:00 pm  in Room A-2 the Joint Committee on the Judiciary will hear two MCFL bills, the Partial Birth Abortion Ban and the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, as well as a very good bill filed by Representative Brad Jones to make an unborn baby the second victim of violence.
As you know, Judiciary hearings are endurance challenges.  It is very important that we attend and testify - to support the sponsors who worked with us on these bills and to let the committee know the facts.
Since you won't know when you will be called, it is wise to bring a bit of lunch.
Please either attend or email testimony.  Thank you!  Anne

Also, Representative Brad Jones has filed a very good fetal homicide bill, currently 29 states have full protection for the baby and 8 have partial protection.  Again, we are so far behind the curve in this state!  An act relative to fetal homicide, H-1392 which makes the unborn child the second victim of a violent crime against the mother with penalties the same as if the injury or death had happened to the mother.  Text of Bill, https://malegislature.gov/Bills/189/House/H1392
Currently 29 states have full protection for the baby and 8 have partial protection.  Again, we are so far behind the curve in this state!
If you find you cannot attend hearings, please email your testimony to Committee Chairs.  You may put your support for all three bills in one email and it is fine to be brief.  You may send your email any time this week.
