Censorship in Fitchburg! Buffer Zone Appeal Date

Last night, the Fitchburg City Council met to discuss the proposed Planned Parenthood facility.  Pro-lifers have testified, demonstrated, written to the landlords, etc.  They were prepared last night with legal documentation showing what the Council could do.  Chris Hanley, MCFL Chapter Chair, reports that the general public was muzzled.  When citizens tried to speak, a councilor interrupted at every mention of the words, "Planned Parenthood" or "abortion".  Only councilor Rosemary Reynolds spoke up for the rights of citizens to be heard.  She challenged the other councilors to study the situation objectively. 

Demonstrations will continue, but the key, according to Chris, is contacting the landlords.  Post cards saying "No to Planned Parenthood" should be mailed to:

SUPREME COURT WILL DECIDE WHETHER TO GIVE CERT (HEAR THE CASE) ON THE BUFFER ZONE APPEAL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2010.  We'll keep you posted.
