I have to tell you, with great sadness, that our dear John Day has died.  John and his wonderful wife, Pat, were founders and chief movers of pro-life efforts in the Pioneer Valley and across the state for more than thirty years.

John was President of Massachusetts Citizens for Life from 1983 - 1985.

John had that combination of empathy, moral commitment, and pro-life stubbornness that really gets things done.  We will miss his inspiring presence.  A pro-life friend said it well, "He was a very good friend.  I'm sure Pat was there waiting for him... they were inseparable."  And, you know what: they were fun to be around!

We are lucky that John and Pat brought up such fine sons, Russell and Tom.  Russell is active in DC and Tom is the Regional Director of the Pioneer Valley Region of MCFL and a member of our state Board of Directors.  Russell, Tom, his wife Kate and their  beautiful children, Jack, Tim, Mike, and Lilly, gave John and Pat great joy.

Since 1973 John and Pat worked and prayed for the babies and for our work.  I am sure they continue to pray.  With such prayers I know we can live up to our mission.

Bless you!

Anne
