Abortuary opened in Natick by botched-abortion doctor

Charlie called yesterday to say the sign has gone up at Metro West Women's Health Services in Natick, a new facility of Marcus Gordon, an abortion practitioner with a history of substandard medical care.

He also runs Four Women Health Services in Attleboro, Merrimack Valley Women's Health in Haverhill, North Shore Women's Center in Lynn.

Today Life News reports that a woman was rushed to the hospital last week after a botched abortion at the Merrimack Valley facility.  They have no news to report on the condition of the victim.

Gordon has a history of disciplinary action. In 1988, he was placed on eight months probation for practicing medicine without a license in the State of Illinois. Gordon later failed to report that discipline on his application for licensure in the State of Massachusetts in 1996.  He left Planned Parenthood in Worcester.  I am not sure if it was under a cloud.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health recently found Gordon and 4 Women to be in violation of laws concerning medical waste management, including failure to maintain medical waste record-keeping log and failure to maintain written contingency plan for spills and accidents.  Local pro-lifers originally brought these disgusting conditions to the attention of state officials.

The location in Natick is on the campus of the Leonard Morse Hospital which gives it credibility and also makes it almost impossible for sidewalk counseling.  I am not sure what we should be trying to do here.  Especially the people in Natick, please share any action ideas you have.  For instance, a large, very pro-life sign in a neighboring yard could reach women headed for the facility.

Let us pray for the babies and pregnant women in the Natick area.  Anne
