You may be able to help on a number of important projects. I certainly hope so!
Dr Jefferson's papers have gone to the Schlesinger Library at Harvard. In cataloguing them, Harvard has found many gaps before 1985. We need any of her papers, speeches, awards from before 1985.
I know a few of you have historical pro-life documents that would help to show the whole picture of the fight for life to future generations. Your papers could join Dr Jefferson's!
I have contacted the National Right to Life Committee to ask them to make a video about Dr Jefferson. They have full production studios. They are so interested that they plan to use the video as the opening event at the 2011 National Right to Life Convention. We have copies of all the TV shows with Dr Jefferson as host. If you have any other shows that she was on - particularly as a guest - we would like copies. On January 21st, I'll be delivering tapes to NRLC and meeting with them to plan the video.
We are seeking a woman, possibly from the Newton area, whose sister was a nun in South America at least between 1978 and 1980. We need to talk to her about an important story that is developing.
Please contact me if you have any of this information about Dr Jefferson, papers of your own, or know about the sister of the nun. And, please pass the word to people who aren't on email.
As usual, I am most grateful for all your help in the right to life vineyard!
Anne
