Dr. Mildred Jefferson

I loved this woman.  It was she who changed me from being inactive to active when I heard her speak at the University of Rochester in the mid-80's.

Dr. Mildred Jefferson

What a loss.  May she rest in peace.

Dr. Jefferson

We will certainly pray for the repose of her soul.....a wonderful lady!

Remembering Dr. Jefferson

One in a million, smartest and most articulate woman we have ever met and the truest to the "Culture of Life."  We will all miss her, what a treasure to our country. Love Martha and Jerry Donovan, Weymouth
I worked with Dr. Jefferson as her assistant back in 1992.  We attended the Republican National Convention in Dallas together and many other local appearances in the Massachusetts area. I was always so impressed with her gift of speaking for the unborn.  She was incredibly intelligent, much loved and a champion for the Pro-Life cause. God will surely reward her!
She will be in my and my family's prayers.
God bless Mildred and may she rest in peace,

May God and His heavenly court of Angels ,comfort  the Jefferson  family. surely all she did will  blosom and spread  for all te people  of  our Lord, to carry on, joy in hard work will   be  the driviving force.

Mildred

I worked with and have known Dr. Mildred Jefferson since the late sixties. She was a unique force in the pro-life movement. In the early days when pro-lifers were almost entirely white and Catholic, she stood out as a black woman and a Methodist.
What a speaker! We will not see her like again. She will join Joe Stanton, John Spillane, Msgr. Leo Battista, Bob Delery, Patricia Day, Maurice Fremont-Smith, Ignatius O'Connor, Charlie Swain and many other other baby-saving heroes in heaven. As Henry Hyde has said and I'm sure has already discovered, there will be a host of aborted babies asking God for mercy on Mildred because she tried to save those babies.
God speed Mildred!

Dr. M.J.

When our father was dying after having his second leg amputated, Dr. Jefferson visited him and wanted to know why he wasn't on an air  mattress and have lamb wool under him. He passed away from the complications of a bed sore not the amputation.
It took Mildred to call to the nursing staff how to care for John Ferguson with compassion.

Dr. M. J.

Pat Jennings would take Dr. Jefferson down to visit our family every summer while we were on our annual summer camping vacation with all 35 grand kids, parent and us Mimi and Papa.  All my children would want Dr. Jefferson to have dinner at there individual camp site, just so there children could hear her and be exposed to her a little special  time. She could talk intelligently to any one from a toddler to an adult. She had such a gentle loving way with who ever she came in contact with.

Dr. Milldred Jefferson

Patricia Jennings daughter Lisa, when going to make her Confirmation, the priest asked her what Saint's name she was taking. Lisa replied Fay, the priest said after who , she replied Dr. Mildred Jefferson, he said fine, a great women.

what a wonderful woman

Dr Jefferson was a dignified woman in everyway. I hope she continues her pro-life work in heaven by praying for us! Although sad because of her passing, I take great joy knowing such a woman who spoke the truth and loved life with passion and conviction. I had many occasions to drive all over the Commonwealth of Massachuetts to start MCFL chapters. She would inspire many who wanted to see children protected from the moment of conception! May her legacy give us inspiration to speak for those who cannot.

Mildred Jefferson

I will always remember Mildred for standing up for what she believed in, regardless of what the liberal wing of the Republican party said.

If we had more people like Mildred, Massachusetts.would be far better of today.

A great woman

It is with great sadness I am learning of Dr Jefferson's passing. She was a great lady, one who fought for the rights of the unborn with unceasing valor.
Her life reflects the dignity of human beings no matter how small. She always looked for ways to help promote LIFE and help women and children in need. We will miss her presence but can continue her mission of standing up for Truth and Justice in today,s world where life has become manipulated and cheap.
May God welcome her into eternal happiness!

a beautiful woman

It is with great sadness that I learn of Dr Jefferson's passing. She was an outstanding lady in all regards. The Pro-life movement will miss her presence. She stood up for the unborn without question and always looked for ways to help women and children in need of services. May God welcome her into eternal happiness!!

Civil Case Also Settled for Family of Laura Smith

logo
According to Massachusetts Lawyers' Weekly today, "Suit vs. abortion doctor settles same day criminal case wraps: Boston attorney forges ahead with civil case, secures $2M award"

The article is longish, but clearly makes the point that the lawyer in the civil case went beyond what is usual, thereby helping the criminal case.  If he hadn't, the abortionist might not have been brought to trial or pleaded guilty.

http://www.dolanmedia.com/view.cfm?recID=636498

Let us hope and pray the publicity and the settlement will deter other doctors from becoming abortionists.  Anne

THE WALK WAS WONDERFUL!...and we have a temporary phone number

logo

I want to thank Helen Cross, her committee, the sponsors, and all the people who attended the Walk to Aid Mothers and Children.  We had a wonderful crowd with many, many little ones in strollers (and their accompanying parents) and a huge number of young people.

We were especially honored to have the members of the Lifeline Club at Burlington High.  They are the only pro-life group in a public high school in Massachusetts.  The club was founded by Kayla Coluci with the help of her cousin Matt Hanafin, who really fired up the Walk crowd with his great presentation.

Rev Basil Yarde provided music and inspiration while we warmed up before the Walk.  I will post pictures as soon as they are ready.

Our phone provider has been having serious problems.  While things are working out, we have a temporary number: 888-391-2239.  I am sorry because I know a lot of you have been having trouble getting the office.

Again, thanks to all who supported the Walk in any way!
Anne
