Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A new poll conducted by Pew Research finds the support for legal abortions has dropped to its lowest level in 15 years.
The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted March 31-April 21 among 1,521 adults, finds President Barack Obama's abortion advocacy could be sparking a shift to the pro-life side of the abortion debate.
The Pew poll found 46 percent of Americans say abortion should be legal in most cases (28%) or all cases (18%) and 44 percent of Americans believe that abortion should be illegal in most (28%) or all cases (16%).

"Embryo bank" to help repair human beings: a further dehumanization of the unborn
In a further continuation of the trend to dehumanize little ones, an "embryo bank" is being planned to help "repair" born humans. On the dead bodies of these little ones, some will seek to improve their lives. While certainly it is good to help those in need, this is the wrong way to do it: by killing human beings.

Video of a father whose child was killed by abortion
Theo Purington gives an account of abortion at the first annual Florida Students for Life conference. He was living in Massachusetts at the time, and is now in New Hampshire, about to move down to Florida. He ran a pregnancy center up in Massachusetts after becoming increasingly more pro-life, including spending some time in New York City.

Even Al Gore has given up on embryonic stem cell testing
Al decided that the 72 cures from adult stem cells was much more promising than the zero cures from embryonic stem cell research, and so he invested $20 million into adult stem cells.

Brookline clinic to open: the locals are only upset about the pro-lifers who come with
As a new clinic opens near Brookline, the local media isn't upset about the children being killed at the facility, they're only concerned that the local pro-lifers might point this out to people nearby. The bonus point in the article is that the pro-abortion people quoted admit that the buffer zone law isn't about 'safety' but is clearly about limiting freedom of speech and about broadcasting unpopular messages.

12 years of Ben Folds' "Brick"
Even though it came out 12 years ago, many people still haven't run across Ben Folds' song about abortion: "Brick", which very sadly, coldly and dispassionately talks about the reality of abortion and what it does to a young couple and an individual.

Planned Parenthood caught covering up rape and losing local funds
Planned Parenthood has been caught on tape, again, for covering up statutory rape. You may recall that the nation's largest abortionist was caught last year accepting racist donations. All of this is causing some, such as those in Texas, to propose cutting off federal, state and local funds to an organization that consistently engages in such behavior. Orange County in California has already cut off local contracts to Planned Parenthood.

MCFL News Heaslip Story and Quality Control
"Tragic Choices" shows the extent to which pregnant women are subjected to an analysis of their child's worthiness to be born based on manufacturing protocols.
Imperfect human beings are seen as defective products to be removed from the assembly line. The parents can always try again for a more desirable child. This distorts the relationship between parents, children, and the medical profession. Parents become masters, children become consumable packages, allowed to continue life as long as their fitness meets the criteria which doctors and society have judged valuable enough to warrant existence.

MCFL President Anne Fox quoted in the story, which shows the controversy that health care reform has when it puts pro-life entities in league with those companies supporting the abortion industry. Chris Matthews refers to pro-lifers as "terrorists"
Chris Matthews, who attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and was honored in 2002 by that college, recently referred to pro-lifers who opposed the nomination of pro-abortion Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius as "terrorists".

Bedford Minuteman: Whitewashing Health Secretary Sebelius' abortion ties
The Bedford Minuteman ran this puff piece on Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius' nomination while also linking to this advocacy website at the bottom, "Catholics for Sebelius" which is part of the Obama adminstration's efforts to outflank the pro-life movement in exposing the truth behind Sebelius. Shockingly, Sen. Sam Brownback has said he supports Sebelius despite her radically pro-abortion record.

Designer babies: the disintegration of a culture of life
Abortion and it's philosophical connections have had several scientific outlets lately: the horrors of embryonic stem cells where tens of thousands are experimented upon in order to bring about 'cures' even though adult stem cells are the only ones with the potential to cure anything, has long been predicted to eventually cause 'designer babies' where parents chose the traits of their offspring. That day, predicted well by the movie Gattaca in the mid-90's, is here.

North Dakota bans abortion
North Dakota passed an abortion ban recently. This topic of 'personhood' often divides pro-lifers who find its strategy flawed, because, they say, it risks setting up a court challenge that ultimately loses and cements Roe as the law of the land. Regardless of its strategic implications, it shows that the pro-life movement is alive and active across the country, and constantly trying to figure out the best ways to protect the unborn in law, culture and in our daily lives.

from Michael New:
There is yet another chapter in my long running debate with the folks
at Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good. (The folks who released
a study this fall which claimed that pro-life laws do *not* work and
that welfare is the best way to stop abortion)
You might be interested in know that Catholics in Alliance for the
Common Good admitted that mistakes were made in their analysis and
*retracted* their original study.
A replacement version has been uploaded. However, one of the original
authors has removed his name from the current version. More
importantly, the results of the new version fall well short of the
original press release. The new version provides evidence that
welfare policy only has a marginal effect on the incidence of
abortion.
You can read my analysis on Professor Robert George's new website
