Bachmann, Cain, Paul, Pawlenty, and Santorum Address NRL Convention

How would you like to hear five presidential candidates tell you that life is the primary right that we have - and four of them explain that this right comes from God?    Herman Cain and Rick Santorum addressed the convention in person.  Cain said we must go beyond pushing back - we must fight back!   Senator Santorum called us warriors of love.  He told us about his youngest, Bella.  The doctors said at her birth that she would not live.  They took her home to hospice.  First they celebrated her weekly birthdays, then monthly, now yearly.  He said they love her because she is.    Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann spoke live from the US House which was in session this morning.  Paul was his usual policy wonk, but the policy was well-expressed prolife.   Michele Bachmann gave a beautiful prolife presentation.  She specifically asked for our help in her presidential race.   Gov Pawlenty also presented by Skype from the campaign trail.  He spoke eloquently for life.   The energy among conventioneers was palpable.   Anne         DONATIONS - WE NEED AND APPRECIATE THEM!     Donate through PayPal     THANK YOU!    For more information about the Pro-Life cause in Massachusetts or to get involved    please visit our website at massprolife.com.

After the greeting from Senator Marco Rubio, Fred Barnes addressed the opening session.  He proclaimed this a breakout year for the Pro Life Movement:  "We are stronger, better organized, more politically powerful, bigger, more savvy, younger ... Our critics bemoan that we never give up." Summer Academy, patenting humans, and G. K. Chesterton

Before I leave for the National Right to Life Directors' Meeting and the Convention, I want to bring you up to date. The U. S. Bless all you wonderful Fathers!

On Google I looked for "Influence of fathers on their children's lives."  There are 4,390,000 entries - as well there should be!  In pro-life circles we all know how important it is for a child to have a good father.  We are fortunate to know so many of you great fathers!  You are a special breed.   At the National Right to Life Convention in '08, research was presented for the first time about why women are getting abortions.  It is worth noting on Fathers' Day. Most women seeking abortions have at least one other child at home so they know they are carrying a baby.  When they look at the baby's father, they realize he will not act as a father and will not give support in raising the child.  They do not mean monetary support.  They make what they consider is the best decision for the unborn baby.  We pro-lifers can find apartments, make car payments, give clothes, and provide medical care.  The one thing we cannot do for these women is to provide men in their lives who act grown-up, who take responsibility, who put loved ones first, who do things they would have learned if they had had good fathers.  As a society, we will have to figure out how we can remedy this.
