MCFL mourns the passing of Judge Robert Bork

Judge Robert Bork was one of the finest legal minds of the second half of the 20th Century.  He also had the ability to write for "everyman". The Tempting of America and Slouching Toward Gemorrah were both best sellers. It was heartbreaking for us, and a disgrace to the U S Senate, when he was "Borked".  There is much talk about litmus tests for Supreme Court appointments.  We right-to-lifers have always maintained that we do not want a litmus test, we want the most qualified Justices possible. Many of us were privileged to hear Judge Bork speak in Boston a few years ago at the Catholic Lawyers' Guild.  He was a little frail physically but we all strained to keep up mentally with his presentation. Judge Bork is an example to us all. May be rest in peace. Anne
