Last week I was headed out to an MCFL meeting in Ludlow. The Pike was crowded so I was behind the same car until it got off in Framingham. The car had the Choose Life 982 plate. I cannot tell you how exciting it was to know I was following a friend who was making a life-saving statement.
Merry Nordeen, the founder of the Choose Life plates, has this amazing news, "Today, 2,025 registered Choose Life plates are on the road as a visible testimony to promote the cause of life. In just one year, over $100,000 has been raised to support life through grants to Massachusetts pregnancy resource centers, counselor training, nurse sonographer training, youth conferences and the MCFL Summer Academy for high school students. Please help promote the Choose Life plate so we can continue this important work. Plates can be ordered through the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles website at mass.gov/rmv."
Look how many pro-life efforts are benefitting - including MCFL. It is up to each and every one of us to fill the roads of the Commonwealth! I'll be looking for you around the state! Anne
Counselors from Problem Pregnancy in Worcester shared their experiences. Chris, Elaine, and Corinn told the students about women who come to them who are determined to have abortions, others who are undecided, and some who want to give birth to their babies but need help - which Problem Pregnancy provides with usual pro-life generosity.
MCFL is planning to list all the Crisis Pregnancy Centers in the state on our web site. We have found 72 centers. We are calling each to check on the services they offer.* We always hear there are more CPC's in the country than abortuaries, but this is amazing!
Cori had an abortion on October 7th, 1983. Her Patrick would turn 28 this fall. For years she lived with the awful consequences. Recently, thanks to Project Rachel, Cori has been healing and is able to share her story. The students now have a real person with real experiences to reference in talking to other young people.
It was a blessed evening! I want you to know that Worcester is hotter than most of the rest of the state. The Burncoat Baptist church is beautiful but our part is not air-conditioned. Our students are real troopers whose commitment has certainly been proved.

About our KEY NOTE SPEAKER:
Most people will know Chuck Chalberg, as the star of EWTN's "Apostle of Common Sense". appearing as G.K.Chesterton. He will delight us with Chesterton's witt and clear thinking of the natural order of the values of Pro-Life. In addition to having performed as Chesterton for a dozen years or thereabouts, he also perform as Theodore Roosevelt, Branch Rickey, Bobby Jones, George Orwell, and H.L. Mencken. But Chesterton is by far his favorite. He is a native Minnesotan with a B.S. from Regis University in Denver and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He teaches American history at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN, and has written a dual biography of Branch Rickey and Jackie Robinson, as well as reviews and essays for such publications as The Weekly Standard, the New Oxford Review, Crisis, National Review among others. He is married and the father of five.
